John Amico is the patriarch of the Amico hair care dynasty. 

A pioneer in professional product manufacturing, salons and beauty schools, John Sr. has spent the past 60+ years helping to shape our country's approach to beauty. 

A well known guest and competition artist, John Amico has won international awards in the US and in Europe. As an influential leader in the beauty industry, his life's work has been dedicated to protecting stylists and salons from diversion. 

His goal is to enrich professionals' lives, starting at the very beginning of stylists' careers as the enthusiastic promoter of beauty education.

He "walks his talk" in everything he does. He shares his unique perspective for not only surviving but thriving in the beauty business in the 21st century.

Johnny Amico started working in the salon as a child and in 1978, at the age of 12, he was working in the John Amico haircare product warehouse. 

He later attended beauty school and worked as a salon manager. 

After graduating with a bachelor's degree in marketing from Bradley University, he worked as the 

Vice President of a 175-unit national salon chain. He later received his MBA in Finance from DePaul University, and is currently the president of 

John Amico Professional Haircare. John Amico Jr. has devoted his 30-year career to enriching professionals' lives through beauty, goodness and business systems.
